A new provider has been chosen to continue the identity protection service offered by the South Carolina Department of Revenue as a result of the 2012 data breach.
CSID is providing protection service to eligible individual taxpayers, their dependents, and businesses who filed an electronic South Carolina tax returns between 1998 and 2012.
Even if you previously enrolled for the state’s free identity protection service, you’ll need to enroll again since the service is with a new provider. To enroll, go to www.scidprotection.com or call CSID’s call center at 855-880-2743.
